E t p is very tricky to measure. No, e t p can be measured. The of the problem is is that, what's the origin of it? Well, that's, i mean, isolating. Why couldn't a cell undergo anarobic metabolism, make a t p that is accounted for by the amount of lactate that’s produced and take up oxygen at the same time? That wouls be coupled, wouldn't it? As long as it's not producing lactic acid or socinic acid. Ok. So i am a bit confused,. Why couldn't it do both?
