History in Taiwan Is Boring and Hard

The Western calendar used today is called the Gregorian calendar after a Pope Gregory. There were 12 popes called Gregory before actually. That Gregorian calendar was just a minor change to the Julian calendar introduced in 46 BC, proposed and introduced by Julius Caesar. This could be one of the reasons history as a school subject is disliked by so many here in Taiwan.
