If you use a gun in a drug trafficking offense, your tariff is immediately much, much higher. Justice O'Connor argued that if it was used in a way that was material to the execution of the crime, that's what counts. So while I agree there are some constraints implicit in this particular use of use a firearm, it's actually quite difficult to say precisely what they are.
