The Importance of the Spirit in Illuminating Scripture
The reason of faith and causes ways and means of understanding the mind of God are together his twin treatises on illumination. He spends a lot of time in the reason of faith saying that Scripture is self-authenticating. And so the Holy Spirit's work of illumination is partially for us to accept Scripture as true. Then secondly, the Spirit plays a role in giving us understanding in the truth as well.
