The Role of Attorneys in Tax Transactions
Can lawyers advising clients about tax matters be themselves found responsible for a client's illegal acts or illegal claims made? Potentially and I think it's worth pointing out here that there has been no public accusation that either of these two attorneys or that the firm otherwise has violated ethics laws ethics rules criminal laws. So my understanding is that there is certainly some gray area and some wiggle room here.
