A tiger mam is a strict or demanding mother who pushes her child to high levels of achievement. This form parenting does basically fall into the authoritarian style. Tiger parents often have high expectations in all areas, academics, music and potentially, but not always, sports as well. The cultural pressure to excel is really strong in many families. And there's almost always a few parents in a sports team where they put too much pressure on their kids.
