The Importance of Having a Good Partner

Cheryl: I had all sorts of ideas in my head because of how I was raised, that I would get involved with a doctor because my mom was a doctor. We kind of don't recognize our own dogma. And so I had this idea that I have to have this high achieving, badass kind of type A partner. That's what I told myself I wanted out of my own ego or whatever it was. But the reality is I wanted somebody who was compassionate and patient and understood my artistic desires and had ones of their own. Those were the boxes that were more important to me.
