The Avatar Movie Trope in Western Movies

The white savior trope in western movies. Eventually it is shown that the white guy has something superior about him, and he eventually ends up saving the day. So Avatar essentially is a white savior movie. I'm sure I can think of many other examples, but I give you one: The last Samurai.
