Bacteria are evolving ways to fend off our drugs, meaning antibiotics are no longer a silver bullet. A possible ally in our fight against bacteria is generating some interest. Viruses have a bad rap and they've gotten a particularly bad reputation since SARS-CoV-2 caused the COVID pandemic. If we could find and exploit viruses that attack things that attack us, like bacteria, then because they are our enemy's enemy, they could be our friends.
