Kristen: Self compassion is such an easy and powerful gift you can give to yourself. It's just our cultural conditioning that tells us we shouldn't. She says self compassion helps people open up to the fact that when they open up to pain instead of running away from avoiding it. That's really the way to start to overcome it.
