The Extended Mind Thesis
In the case of language very often pieces of the environment are actually part of a sentence. I don't think that any mental signs are composed partly of things in the world and so this is why I give an analysis of indexical for instance. There's also a theme that weaves in and out of the of the book here and they are with various effects. The question for the mind is partly external is unfortunately largely a verbal problem not you know there's very much substance there but I'd have to back that up.
