In Japan, there wasn't so much of the emphasis as in the US on transporting you somewhere else or simulating actually exists. The way to think about VR was both a kind of diminutionality and allowing you to bracket off certain parts of your world. So that's what I came to think of as a kind of perceptual enclosure. And it really fascinated me just what a demand that is.
