The Real Housewives Franchise
I feel like this entire sort of ouroboros of authenticity is for me most visible in the Real Housewives franchise. These women are aware that they're being filmed but similar to the Love Island sort of case study they don't really know what it means. I would encourage you to go back and watch some of the early seasons because it more than anything else demonstrates the extent to which the things that worked initially are now just being recreated until they are meaningless.
