The Book of Tobit Emphasizes Almsgiving
Tobit is a book of the Bible that emphasizes almsgiving in a particular way. Luther had it, but he threw it out of the Bible. It's been read as Christian scripture long before the Protestant Reformation. He buries the dead, feeds the hungry and closes the naked. All these beautiful corporal works of mercy, Tobit's in body.
