The Three Key Moments in German History
Gasoline shortages are spreading across the country. Looking back at this moment, it feels somewhat similar to Europe's current crisis. The oil shocks of the 70s motivated Germany to get more Russian gas. And then we see the second key moment, which came in 1986 with the Chernobyl accident. Finally, there was the end of the Cold War, starting with the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
