Using LDI for UK Pension Schemes
The idea really is that you want to manage your liability risks. Hence using LDI so invest in things that give you inflation linked cash flows in the long term. And that essentially means buying long dated interest rate sensitive products, government bonds and guilt. The problem with that is that you get a guilt return. You know, it's not particularly great.
