The Overland Trek to Cambay
The Chinese convoy departed Delhi on August 2nd, 1341. Ibn Batuta's team included a Persian scholar, plus a unique name Khafur. The plan was to head south to Dalditabad, and then to Cambay on the west coast. It would then head down the Indian coast of Calicut, where the great company would board ocean-going junks for China.
