The first draft of the Israeli Declaration of Independence was written by a 33 year old lawyer. Mordechai Baham's assignment just happened to coincide with the first days of Passover, roughly three weeks before the British were set to leave Palestine. Imagine being so important that you delegate your country's declaration of independence to a junior member of your team. But honestly, this story is not out of character for Israel of 1948. So many of Israel's battles were fought by the young.
