A Brief History of the Endurance

R.W. James was one of 27 men to join Ernest Shackleton on his Antarctic mission in the early 20th century. The ship Endurance sank 3,000 meters to the bottom of the Antarctic Sea and into another world. After a brief interview with Shackleton where he was asked among other things if he minded losing any toes James answered the call as his son John recounts.
