The modern data stack is solving a real set of problems, but it's solving them out of order. When data moved to the cloud and we had that nice separation of a computation an storage snowflakes started exploding. And if you build things on top of a swamp, it sinks. That's where we are right now, in my opinion, with the modern data stack. We have this extremely messy foundation, a completely broken data warehouse, and we're sticking product on top of that.
