The Art of the Public Face

The artists were chosen, as usual, through a competition at we were not part of the judging either. So they're both artists, and scott happened to be acquainted with frank o'hara. I brought them all into a room, we met them for the first time, and i said, i would like you to come up with a wonderful planir the public face. It was a very chilly, hostile environmentrely eyeing each other suspiciouslymy i mean, they just knew what the others were saying aboutthe other, and and how badlynd,. you know, each didn't want the other to be involved and itas. on principle. so i just let them alone.
