The Black Swan Is a More Stringent Form of Knowing Than Confirmation
The body of scientific knowledge is whatever hypothesis have not been disproven. You can never know with certainty, no matter how much evidence you have accumulated that a certain phenomena will always happen. Seeing the black swan is a more rigorous form of knowing than seeing millions of white swans because it only takes one exception to the rule to invalidate the whole thing. It's very important that the possibility of being wrong is always taken seriously.
