By 1971, it'll be inserted into American graffiti as a kind of a calm down throwback song. But at the time, it's incendiary. And again, people are, you know, marching in the streets, throwing rocks through windows and scuffles with police. You've got Elvis who plays a certain role, but you've got little Richard Eddie Carpren,. Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, all these great people doing this music that makes you want to move in ways that are not amenable to a Puritan aesthetic.
