When Elon Musk bought Twitter, there started to be a rumor in journalistic circles that he was maybe going to open up the internal communications of the old company. "I went into it with very limited ambitions," says New York Post's John Sutter. He thought maybe we might find out something about what happened with the Hunter Biden laptop story. But instead they found an elaborate system where agencies were sending mass requests to get people off Twitter and de-amplify groups.
