The Difference Between Instagram Tastemakers and Traditional Food Media

Almost all Instagram accounts with a sizable following are in fact professional food influencers. This throws a bit of a wrench into Zina's research. Even if these food influencers had no apparent links to the food world, it was hard to know if the content had been paid for. The main theme of my findings is that social media and Instagram food content in particular dislodges a lot of hierarchies we associate with Michelin at the same time as reenacting them.
