Are You Getting Ready for Trial?
I remember when I was clicking on the district court for DC, Judge Wilkins did part of our training. He's now obviously on the DC Circuit. And he said, sometimes, you know, what seems to the court of appeals, like it was the right answer based on what we heard, they have no idea. It was just a totally different ball game when it was before me. But there's a certain work ethic thing that comes from being a trial lawyer. That's very helpful. When you're getting ready for trial, that's a lot of hours. And it's helpful to be able to turn that on as an appellate lawyer when you need to.
