Alcoa and Paul O'Neill and the Pandemic

For many years GE was held in every grandmother's portfolio and the CEO there's a certain CEO that ran it into the ground basically over a period of years. Paul O'Neill came into Alcoa and it was in trouble he'd come in from government he had been at OMB, decided he did a big survey of what the company's problems was. He announced to the board that their number one goal was worker safety and the board was apoplectic they said get this guy out of here he'll never make a profit. The workers really got galvanized felt safe again you know fixed worker safety then they went to work on company profitability  and the company skyrocketed fabulously
