The Problem of Text to Logical Forms

During your PhD, you started working on this problem of text to logical forms. And it seems to kind of relate to this area of grounding. So could you just like introduce what this problem was? And maybe like from a historical perspective, like, yeah, what did it really seem interesting at the time?Yeah, so there's probably lots of different ways of defining it, but I could define it in two different ways that are not perfectly aligned, but kind of interacting. One would be, you know, basically when somebody says something, you need to understand it at a level where you can do the appropriate response,. The full meaning of a sentence is just really hard to fathom.
