Cose: We need a transformation of our societies, and that isn't going to come through some judges sitting up there on their own. At the heart of this has to be equity - confronting one's own complicity in whatever the situation is. Equity means confronting the past as well as the future. It means confronting all aspects of the problem. Not pretending we're a leader because we've set some target for net zero omissions... That actually reflects that we're a service economy which import so much of our consumption. Unless we do this, unless we find a common framework to work together, then ultimatey even for those who are travelling first class, they're still on the titanic.
