Do We Really Need Military Weapons?

i've been known to be a defender of the second amendment, and it comes partly out of my experience in birmingham. I don't believe americans really need to have military weapons. And if we just treat the symptoms, without going to what some of these roote causes are, i think we're going to have a terrible situation for a long time to come. It's absolutely extraordinary that our political system is unable to address the ease with which this and many other disturbed young people can get hold of guns.
