Donald Trump is an example of someone who speaks with a great deal of certainty, right? Something isn't just true. It's unquestionable. Every time this is clearly what's going to happen. He uses a lot of language that is really certain. Contrast that though with the way most of us communicate. We default to those ticks all the time. Those are called hedges and they make it clear that we're not so sure,. They hedge. This says this might be true.
