How Expedential Growth Is Unintuitive
We have to slow down to do the farthest rational sort of thing indeed. And we can be fooled by certain intuitions that don't apply to a particular case. A failure to appreciate expedient growth has real consequences such as people not saving early enough for retirement. People who are more resistant to the quick wrong answer also tend to be more sceptical of queens of the para normal. They're less susceptible to conspiracy theories and pseudo intellectual bolshet.
