The Immaculate Handwriting of Jim Nicholson
Jim's bad handwriting meant that he wrote Ben Nicholson saying you know I need to raise 600,000 pounds and nickel. A lot of this book was written in lockdown when you know it was quite a lonely way to write a book. He could be quite solitary and introverted and troubled and yet was fantastically hospitable and sociable as a young man. The Jim titles which was just sort of you know improvised really um.
