When Quants first came to Wall Street, so this is late in the 70s, early 80s, I was kind of, you know, three or four years after the first people who did this. They love you because as far as they're concerned, your job is to go out and raise money from investors. Your job is all about gathering assets and generating commissions. And if you're a good player, even if you have no money, somebody will lend you a stake. You got guaranteed income for life. That bit of security has always been very important to me.
