The Role of Melody in Storytelling
If you can echo elements of your story revisit things, recycle things and think about it in terms of little pieces, a beat, bigger pieces,. rhythm section and then an overlying piece which would be the pad. You're starting to cook a pretty good song but it goes even further than that we have melody. The melody is like your main character right? It's your voice, is the voice harsh? Is it played on a shredding guitar or is it a piano? So now we put those three elements together. We have an ostinato that keeps going. It echoes. It can change a little bit over time but if you're a good composer you're going to develop that
