There is no official single term, in part because these aren't internationally sanctioned policies. But you hear offshoring a lot. And that's what we're seeing in the australian case, in the u k. The roanda example is certainly offshoring, but we might might be more accurate to call it out sourcing. So they're really handing over asylum processing to roandan authorities. Are they suggesting that the so called global north is done with asylum? Is this the new normal? Yes, i think we're moving in this direction.
