China's Turn to Nationalism
In the last ten, maybe even 20 years, china has moved steadily to a sort of nationalisto right? That which i would argue is endemic to all socialist, communist systems. They all fall back on nationalism. Because nationalism does more to fill up the holes in people's souls than markis laniist doctrine. How much of that is a policy endeavor, and how much of it is jus srt, of something that naturally comes once your population's basic needs are fulfilled,. they start looking more aspirationally for more respect.
