A Taste of Mezcalp in the Central Coast of Honduras
It is still great to visit a mezcalp polenkey and see the process from start to finish. Chocolate is really important and wahaka but it's typically not eaten it's drank as a beverage which traditionally it was if you're in nobility you had to be special to drink chocolate way back in the day 2000 years ago. The hotte is a traditional pre-Hispanic non-alcoholic drink that is made from toasted corn fermented cacao beans florida cacao and toasted mame seed.
