Is Kyiv Always Destined to Stay Protected?
Russia's military was trying to be sort of a quick strike into Kyiv once that failed, everything fell apart. One thing that I find really interesting is this question about whether Kyiv was always destined to remain protected or whether actually this was a very contingent outcome. It strikes me that if some things had gone differently, that not only could the war have gone differently, but that Kyiv could have fallen and may have been closer to falling than people tend to appreciate.
