How to Shard Blades in the Storm Light Archive

The chrysalis has to be like dead flesh for the shard blade to reach into it. This is going to lead to some interesting aspects, like having to kill the great chasm pinds before you can chop into its a lik heart and take out the valuable gem hart. It's also going to allow for people, i believe hobber is one of them,  to be struck by shard blades, or honor blades, and lose the spiritual connection to that limb habber loses his legs. Caladin loses a hand, but he's radiant, so you now radiant powers heal that.
