In 19 99, in the last months of his life, lombardy began moving toward that discovery with the execution of two drawings. The centre of the narrative was a dragon's horde of imperial japanese treasure hidden by the emperor's commanding officers from advancing american forces. It became seed money for a covert fund for global cold war operations known as the black eagle trust.
