Game designers want to be consistent about all of the interactivity of your virtual world. But if as a game designer, you want to block somebody in there and not let that work, you better put a door there that looks like I shouldn't be able to break it down with my battle axe. So make it a steel door. Then that lets you then scale up and go, well, what if I have a cannon in this room? Maybe that would get through the steel door. And the answer is maybe it should. That devotion to the virtual world simulation being thorough is another thing that's unique to, to my games.
