The Schrodinger Equation
Einstein's theory said that for objects moving close to the speed of light, physics gets really different. In 1925, Erwin-Chrodinger revolutionized quantum mechanics by writing down what we now call the Schrodinger equation. They wanted to be able to upgrade Schrodinger's equation to explain particles moving at relativistic speeds.
