What Was It About Proof of Stake That Made Solana Exist?
Anatol: I want to start at the very, very beginning. What is the reason for Solana existing? That's really the question like why Solana versus Ethereum or Polygon or BSC. An open compute system seems really powerful. He was like, okay, can we build this in a way that leans into some of the strengths that have made compute generally what it is today? The two that are worth calling out are one, parallelization and then two, the fact that hardware consistently gets better over time.
