The nervous system is hard wired to be changeable and plastic in the environment. It's not like a blue print that says, if your geane is like this, then this part of you will be like that. So it's more that the genoman codes rules and processes of development which collectively channel development into a kind of a range. But that's very much an ongoing trajectory.
