The Importance of Morality in Politics

Having political values and moral values are really not the same thing. Morality wasn't really a part of politics until Reagan era, Christian right. It seems like everybody's scrambling to find the moral high ground where they feel that their personal values should shape government. The question is always who whose values are more effective for governing a populace?
