How My Father Was a Good Salesperson

Sally Kohn: I have a very clear picture of him in action. He was almost like an instant connector. Wherever the person was, my father would pick up on it. None of my family ever got up in front of an audience and talked. And I didn't have that ability. In my teens, I volunteered for a theater, you know, grade school. You had to play maybe two plays a year and I did it. It was painful because the family was kind of introverted.
