The Guaranteeing Overtime for Truckers Act
Trucker overtime was originally mandated by law for anyone working more than forty hours a week. But there was an exemption included for truckers, because they didn't want truckers working more than 40 hours a week for safety reasons. The bill proposes to remove the overtime wages exemption for certain employees and for other purposes. It's just a bill to protect three and a half million truckers from being exploited.
