The International Law Commission's Articles on Compensation

In the early 1990s when around your ruises work is being discussed ILC members are still influenced by the great debates of the new international economic order. So we have future judges, Xi and Benuna raising concerns about possible investment claims albeit in the interstate setting against developing states. And if we read through ILC debates it is very clear how recent our contemporaneous assumptions of how international law operates influence that. That explains a great deal on the way how international law commissioner approached the question of crippling compensation.
