The original mummers and poppers split up in the early 80s. cass elliot died of a heart attack aged only 32. michel phillips went on to a successful acting career, still acts to day. john sank into depression and spent time in prison on drugs charges. He would remain an adict for the rst of his life. A remixed version of california dreaming was stuck on that and put out as a single. While it only made the lower reaches of the hot 100, it made the adult contemporary top ten.
